New Holland Launches Autonomous Baling Technology And Mobile App, Marks 50 Years Of Baler Innovation With Brand Refresh

New Holland has introduced IntelliSense Bale Automation, an autonomous baling technology that automates large square baling operations. The system uses integrated LiDAR sensing technology to automate navigation of the tractor and baler along the windrow, as well as control the tractor’s speed in response to variations in material feedrate into the baler. The technology aims to increase baling productivity, improve bale quality, reduce fuel consumption, and enhance operator comfort. IntelliSense Bale Automation is compatible with certain New Holland tractors and balers and can be integrated as a dealer-installed service immediately, with factory-fit options available starting in 2025. Alongside the autonomous baling technology, New Holland has also launched the Bale Manager mobile app, which allows operators to control and visualize baling data from their smartphones or tablets.

New Holland, a pioneer in baler innovation, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of its round balers and has refreshed its brand image with a striking yellow color for its haytool styling. The transition to the new color will begin with commercial haytools in late model year 2024 and extend to Pro-Belt round balers in model year 2025. The brand refresh is part of New Holland’s dedication to pushing boundaries and providing farmers with tools to improve their efficiency and experience. To commemorate the 50th anniversary, New Holland is holding a year-long celebration and inviting round baler owners to submit their stories and photos for a chance to win a commemorative prize pack.

The Bale Manager mobile app allows operators and customers to control and visualize baling data from their smart devices. The app enables users to store data, monitor baling activity, simplify accounts receivable, export data, and search through completed jobs. The app is available for download on the App Store and Google Play platforms.

This new technology and mobile app demonstrate New Holland’s commitment to innovation and providing farmers with advanced tools to improve their operations. The autonomous baling technology and the Bale Manager app offer increased efficiency, improved data management, and a more streamlined baling process, ultimately helping farmers enhance productivity and profitability.
